The story behind HER
HER Dance Fitness didn’t start as a business.
It started as a feeling.
A feeling that so many women know all too well.
The feeling of giving your energy to everyone else — your family, your job, your responsibilities — and slowly losing the connection to yourself along the way.
Like many women, I love movement. I love music. I love dancing. But somewhere between being busy, being responsible and showing up for everyone else, that part of me got quieter.
Fitness spaces didn’t feel like they were built for women like me anymore.
Gyms felt intimidating.
Dance classes felt like you needed to be locked into term contracts, end of year concerts and if you missed a class you would be left behind..
And I knew there had to be another way.
With 30 years of dance experience and 12 years of teaching dance, there was something I would hear from the ladies every class I taught… “This hour is my me-time where I can let the worries and stresses of life/home/work go and just BE PRESENT” So this space was created!
A space where women could move their bodies without judgement.
Without guilt.
Without comparison.
Without being locked into term fees and contracts and expected to perform at an end of year concert.
A space where it didn’t matter how coordinated you were, how fit you were, or how long it had been since you last danced.
Just a room full of women showing up as they are. Connecting, ,moving and being unapologetically themselves!
And I cannot wait to DANCE with you!

Why HER exisits
HER Dance Fitness was created to give women permission to reconnect with themselves again.
To move their bodies in a way that feels fun instead of forced.
To sweat, laugh and dance to old school R&B songs that make you forget you’re even exercising.
But more than that, HER is about something deeper.
It’s about the moment a woman walks into the room feeling nervous…
Then by the end of the class she’s laughing, moving more freely, and feeling like herself again.
It’s about the friendships that form between women who were once strangers.
It’s about remembering that movement doesn’t have to be punishing to be powerful.
The Heart of HER
HER Dance Fitness isn’t about perfect choreography.
It’s about confidence.
Connection.
Joy.
And giving yourself permission to take up space again.
Every class is a reminder that you are allowed to prioritise yourself.
You are allowed to have fun.
And you are never too old to dance and shake your booty.
